Día de Cantabria

El Día de Cantabria is held in Cabezón de la Sal on the second Sunday in August and should not be missed if you are staying in the area then. It is a wonderful fiesta celebrating country living, and lasts all day with all sorts of events accompanied by local bands playing regional music throughout the town. The magical highlight is when night falls when there is a colourful procession through the streets with floats, carts and animals with the bands still in full force.
