General Description This stylish, architect-designed house is set in 2000m2 of fully enclosed grounds in a quiet, pretty corner of the farming village of Quintes, just two kilometres from the lovely cliff-backed, sandy beach of Playa España in central Asturias.
Roomy and comfortable with three bathrooms, furnished and decorated as a family home, it has a pleasant cosy feel to it (not too designer') and is laid out to give all generations their own bit of space.
With interesting paintings and objects d'art throughout, the house has a true character of its own and enjoys some views to the sea and the mountains. A double-sided fireplace in the living room and kitchen as well as central heating, makes it a relaxing place to be in all seasons.
Children, in particular, are well catered for, with football posts in the back garden which is mostly laid to lawn, a ping pong table and a small play / study area on the first floor.
Surrounded by apple orchards in cider country, the village of Quintes has two bar/ restaurants, two bakeries and a small shop provides most of life's necessities.
The lively and interesting seaside city and fishing port of Gijon is just ten kilometres away, as is Villaviciosa with its beautiful estuary, lined with sandy beaches. Historical Oviedo and Aviles and the Picos de Europa mountains are just a little bit further, making a great combination of country, beach and city experiences.
There is a path from the house which almost goes to the beach - the last part of the walk is on a local road. Accommodation Description Automatic front gate opens into the drive and very large garden (at front and back of house). Garage at one side of the house.
