Located on the upper floor of the house (the friendly and welcoming owners live on the lower floor), shared with another apartment, this is a comfortable, practical and functional apartment, well equipped and extremely well maintained. The view of the mountains from the balcony is absolutely stunning!
There is plenty of room for all in the garden for everyone to find their space and there are two well equipped and attractively decorated outhouses for barbequeing in all weathers. Both have dining tables and one even has an open fireplace for those chillier days!
You are perfectly placed for exploring the local area in all directions and taking advantage of the numerous activities on offer, be it mountain climbing, horse riding or cross country skiing!

Its fine church has a beautiful Romanesque doorway and an impressive C16th altarpiece.
Although there are no shops or bars, there is an excellent bakery with a good, local restaurant attached at one and a half kilometres. A little bit further, is a chemist's and at two kilometres in Ojedo there is a supermarket, bars and restaurants and another very good bakery.
There is a pleasant walk to Potes from the village and here you will find all amenities.
- Walking locally and to other villages beyond and to Potes (signposted).
- Walk the Ruta de Cares from Posada de Valdeon.
- Birdwatching. From the garden alone you will be amazed by the variety of species.
- Horse-riding in nearby Vinon.
- Fishing in the River Deva (but with a licence).
- Many outdoor activity companies in Potes, offering quads, climbing, cross country ski-ing etc..
- Explore the interesting old town of Potes.
- Visit the fascinating churches in Piasca and Santa Maria de Lebena and the monastery of Santo Toribio.
- Take the cable car up to the heights at Fuente De.
- Sample the gastronomy of the region at many family run restaurants - cocido lebaniego, the local dish, not to be missed!
- Take a day trip by the San Glorio pass to the city of Leon with its amazing cathedral.
