Salamir

Salamir is a small, spread out farming village on the coastal plain in between the picturesque fishing ports of Cudillero and Luarca in Western Asturias.

In the village there is a lovely natural beach, Playa Oleiros, which can only be reached on foot and a pretty picnic spot in pine woods, Monte Valsera. Nearby are the beautiful beaches of Playa de San Pedro de Ribera and Playa de Concha de Artedo. There are also marked walking and cycling routes along the coast.

Although there are no facilities in the village, the bread van comes everyday and the village of Lamuno at two kilometres has a small shop selling basics and two bars, one of which is a simple, good value family run restaurant. There is also a stables in Lamuno that provide various horse-riding routes.

Supermarket, bars and restaurants and other facilities are found in Soto de Luina, just over three kilometres.
