Apartamento Liandres, Cantabria and Asturias

Liandres | Ref: LIA1 | Bedrooms: 3 | Sleeps: 6

Well-located ground floor apartment with spacious garden and lovely outdoor dining area

Traditional three bedroom holiday apartment with a lovely garden, set in a small village within walking distance of the sea, close to Comillas and the sandy beaches. The garden boasts a generous portico with table and chairs, so plenty of space for summer barbecues and outdoor entertaining with the family.

As a ground floor apartment, it benefits from having easy access to every part of the home and garden, with no stairs and only a few steps throughout. The owners (a middle-aged couple with no children) live on the first floor with separate entrance, very helpful if needed, otherwise discreet and out of sight.

Though fairly simple everything is functional and very well looked after and the location offers guests a perfect base for sightseeing and exploring Cantabria.

Liandres is one of the many hamlets that belong to the municipality of Ruiloba, a lovely and very popular part of coastal Cantabria. Just a short walk away is La Corneja, a gorgeous picnic area with a restaurant and great sea views, and a few kilometres further down the road, the old town of Comillas. Here you can enjoy yourself visiting modernist buildings by Gaudi and his contemporaries, laying on the sandy beach or having a few tapas at one of the busy bars down by the harbour.

*New for 2018

Liandres

Liandres is one of the many hamlets that belong to the municipality of Ruiloba, a lovely and very popular part of coastal Cantabria. The village boasts a gorgeous picnic area with a chapel, a restaurant and great sea views. Nearest bars are in the neighbouring hamlet of La Iglesia.

The lovely old town of Comillas is only three kilometres away. Here you will find lots of shops, restaurants, bars, banks, a tourist office and a busy Friday market.

Comillas sits on the hills above a beautiful bay and a little harbour.

Although it is expanding, its fascinating mixture of old houses overlooked by the dignified buildings of the former theological seminary make Comillas a delight to wander through. The architect Gaudi’s folly El Capricho, now restored and open for visitors with tickets, is just one of the big old residences worth a look.

Comillas beach is long and sandy, very ‘seasidey’ with its esplanade, while the pretty walled harbour makes a good walk with splendid views along the coast, the comings and goings of the fishing boats an extra fascination.

Town and beach have a relaxed holiday feel about them – and fairly bustle in July and August.
