This delightful, typically Asturian, 16th century country house was recently converted into a small hotel by its owner Enrique, whose knowledge of and enthusiasm for this region will make your stay here a very special one.

Its attractive interior with many original features, stone walls and eye catching tiled floors, create a true feeling of rustic charm.

Set in beautiful, peaceful countryside (you can almost hear the silence), with its own chapel and dovecote and the imposing River Nalon running nearby, this is a place to unwind and relax, taking in the wonderful views.

You could not be better placed to enjoy the dramatic rugged coastline with its stunning beaches and picturesque fishing ports just half an hour away, the historic cities of Oviedo, Aviles and Gijon a little further, and the ?EURoeCueva de Candamo?EUR? with its magnificent prehistoric paintings just nearby.

Enrique, who speaks English, can organise horse-riding and canoeing and other outdoor activities and can recommend great walking routes as well as giving you expert advice on the local gastronomy. There is an excellent, country restaurant in the locality.

For exploring Asturias without the car there's a station for the narrow gauge railway just down the road.
