Casita Samieira, GaliciaSamieira | Ref: GSAM1 | Bedrooms: 2 | Sleeps: 4
Cosy log cabin with dip pool in beautiful landscaped garden with magnificent views of the coast.
Sitting above the coastal village of Samieira, in a quiet residential area, backed by hills and woods and vineyards, you almost feel that you are floating on clouds as you gaze out to sea.
Although you are in one of Galicia's most popular areas for tourism you certainly are in a different, more rural environment here yet with all the attractions of this coastal playground within easy reach.
Every detail has been thought of in the cottage to make it a cosy, practical, very well equipped and comfortable home in all weathers. It is especially suited to young children whose needs have been so carefully considered from games (there is even a video game console) and toys to a swing and slide, not to mention the pool. And a hammock slung in a shady spot between the trees is sure to please children of all ages…
The open-plan lounge and dining area give the cottage a spacious feel but it’s the front porch, with those stunning views over the garden to the Ria which make this such a special holiday home.

Although you are in one of Galicia's most popular areas for tourism - the picture-postcard fishing village of Combarro with its famous horreos to one side and the rather swanky marina of Sanxenxo to the other - you certainly are in a different, more tranquil world here. And yet the historic provincial capital of Pontevedra is just 20 minutes’ drive away!
The village beach is a 15 minute walk and you can follow the fascinating route of the 23 watermills "muinos" of Samieira. There is horse-riding just down the lane, a golf course a short drive away and of course you’ll find all manner of water sports on offer in the Ria.
Albariño, arguably Spain’s finest white wine, is produced locally which, combined with the wonderful local seafood you can see being harvested in the Ria, makes this one of Spain’s leading destinations for foodies in-the-know. You’ll find numerous restaurants to suit all budgets, but do look out for the very special "furanchos", private homes which open up as restaurants at certain times of the year, serving their own wines straight from the vineyard – heaven!
