Collado de Andrin | Ref: AND1 | Bedrooms: 2 | Sleeps: 4

Cosy mountain cottage. Stunning views. Great for walkers.

This compact, cosy cottage with a pretty garden and porch to one side, stands on a lane with other houses around, on the edge of the tiny hamlet of Collado de Andrin in the municipality of Parres in eastern Asturias.

Simple, but comfortable and well equipped, the cottage, furnished in a country style, has a pleasant homely feel to it and the friendly owners will make sure you have everything you need.

At 400 metres, up a winding, but good road, above the gorge of the Desfiladero de los Beyos, it commands spectacular views of the dramatic mountains and the Picos de Europa.

You certainly feel surrounded by nature here and the fresh air alone gives you a feeling of well being.

Though seemingly far removed from civilization, the busy town of Cangas de Onis, is just five kiolmetres away, bars and restaurants at two kilometres and lovely beaches at Ribadesella just over half an hour.

For the energetic, it is a great base for walking and for water sports.

Collado de Andrin

The tiny, rural hamlet of Collado de Andrin, sits 400 metres above the Desfiladero de Los Beyos gorge in Eastern Asturias. Just a cluster of houses with fourteen inhabitants in all, it commands spectacular views of the mountains and the Picos de Europa. Though you are right away from it all here, the winding road up to the village is surprisingly good and well surfaced. There are no amenities here, but the busy town of Cangas de Onis is just five kilometres away, the nearest bars and restaurants, two kilometres away in the village of Cano by the river, and the bread van comes to the village everyday except Sunday.
