Rural haven with glorious views and super walks from the door
With its own enclosed garden with a picnic table and fixed barbeque, it faces fields at the front, making it a great place for children to roam freely. So peaceful and relaxing - you are really back to nature here! - you might find it hard to tear yourselves away, but for the energetic there are wonderful walks and mountain biking routes directly from the house.
Though isolated in feel, you are very well placed here with only three kilometres from the nearest town, a kilometres' walk to the nearest restaurant, just a thirty five minute drive to fantastic beaches on the "Dinosaur coast" and the historic cities of Oviedo and Gijon.
Accommodation DescriptionFrom outside covered porch to front door which opens into a good sized sitting room. Off this is the kitchen/diner and fully fitted bathroom.
A wood staircase leads from the sitting room to upstairs landing. Off this are three bedrooms (one double and two twins) and a further fully fitted bathroom. There is also a balcony for sitting out with wonderful views of the countryside and mountains beyond.

Tucked in between the "Dinosaur coast" and the lovely fishing port and town of Lastres and the spectacular Picos de Europa, with the Rio Sella famous for canoeing, not far away at Arriondas, you are very well placed for exploring this wonderful part of Asturias.
Though the village has no facilities apart from a good restaurant at the impressive Palacio de Cutre, Villamayor with its fine romanesque church, has several restaurants, bars and shops and fourteen kilometres away, on the road down to the coast is an excellent Japanese restaurant! (booking well in advance needed).
For all facilities, the interesting cities of Oviedo and Gijon are just forty minutes away.
2. Picos de Europa National Park - a short drive from the house, this is one of the most beautiful nature reserves in Europe.
3. Canoeing, rafting and fishing not far way.
4. Good restaurants in the local area.
5. Several interesting palaces in the vicinity including Palacio del Cutre which is an upmarket restaurant and the romanesque church at Villamayor.
6. Visit Aviles, Gijón and Oviedo — three interesting cities, very different in style to each other.
7.Visit Lastres — a fascinating port and town on the "Dinosaur" coast and the Museo Juraisico there.
8.Lovely beaches at 25 kms at Lastres and Ribadesella.
9. Impressive “bufones” in Pría, east of Ribadesella — observe at first-hand the amazing strength of the sea: the waves shoot up from the underground caves and go out through holes made thousands of years ago.
