With wonderful views looking out over to Portugal with the River Miño, great for fishing and water sports, close by, you are in an area of two cultures.
Though fairly simple, and furnishings, on the whole, a bit old fashioned, its charm lies in its size and its very good sized swimming pool and tennis court (not full size) and garden. The owners also provide eight bicycles so this in a fantastic place for those looking for an active holiday.
For a family feast or perhaps even a wine tasting evening, the house has a traditional bodega attached with a fixed stone BBQ and kitchen area. There is plenty of room for everyone to have their space !
The kitchen in the main house is also very well equipped, but for those wanting a break from cooking, within a short distance, there are some good typical restaurants of the region and don't forget you are in the Albariño wine growing area here.
You are near lovely beaches at A Guarda and Baioña (15 minutes), river beaches (5 minutes), Tui, the ancient capital of Galicia at fifteen kilometres and its less than half an hour to the fascinating and interesting port and city of Vigo where you can take a trip to the magical Islas Cies.
Tomiño, your local town, has an excellent market and most facilities that you need.

Accommodation Description
Front gate opens into drive and large enclosed garden (2000 metres) with swimming pool and tennis court (not full size).To the right of the main house is a separate door to a very large bodega with all facilities for barbequeing and dining.
Up steps of main house to front door and hall. Off this, large open plan fully fitted kitchen/diner. Passage to bathroom.
Down step to very large utility/ storeroom with extra beds if required (2 single beds and 2 Z beds - there is an extra charge if these are used).
Off this room there is a newly fitted bathroom designed for the disabled. From this, door onto the garden and tennis court at the back of the house.
From the hall on the other side is the sitting room. Up tiled staircase from this to passage and first floor. Door off this down steps to pool and garden.
Off passage five bedrooms (4 doubles and 1 twin), all with T.V.s. Bathroom, and ensuite bathroom in one of the double bedrooms.

River beach on the Miño
Tomino
Surrounded by vineyards, kiwi plantations and garden nurseries, it is just north of the Rio Minho dividing Spain from Portugal. Besides its main town centre it is made up of several little parishes.
There are lovely river beaches along the Rio Minho and delightful walks along the many paths leading down to and along it.
There are restaurants and bars in the town, but several others, belonging to the municipality are down near the river or along the main road that links Tui with A Guarda.

- Fabulous beaches at Baiona, Ramallosa, A Guarda or Caminha in Portugal. River beaches on Rio Mino three kilometres away.
- Wine routes, especially dedicated to the most popular local wine, Albariño. Drive up through the nearby vineyards of Bodegas Altos de Torona and get a panoramic view of the area.
- Gastronomy, enjoying the enormous variety of fish, seafood and meat.
- Variety of gastronomic 'fiestas' throughout the summer.
- Interesting towns and cities in Spain and Portugal - Tui, Baiona, Vigo, Pontevedra and Vilanova de Cervera and Valeca (Portugal)
- Walking routes including the Parque Natural de Monte Aloia with five signposted walks and the Monte Tetón not too far from the house.
- Prehistoric paintings and petroglyphs in Monte Tetón.
- Visit the Celtic site of Monte Tecla and museum above A Guarda.
- Golf - there are four challenging courses within an hour's drive.
- Kayaking on the Rio Mino.
- Rafting, canoeing, climbing and other adventure sports.
- Bike route all along the fantastic coast from A Guarda to Vigo.
- Spas at about hour's drive.
- Markets at Tomino (Wednesday)Valença (Wednesday) and Tui (Thursday). Antique market on the second Sunday of every month at Vilanova, just over the bridge into Portugal from Tomiño.
