This lovely hotel was a medieval convent with a small hermitage, founded in the year 911. In the 11th – 12th century a Gothic church in honour of St. Nicholas was built on the site.

The Rectory and the Church make up an ensemble of enormous architectural and artistic value which has been restored to offer a warm and friendly atmosphere.
You immediately feel at home here and the staff are very friendly and helpful without being obtrusive.

The original masonry, wooden beams and roof have been preserved and combined with modern, comfortable furniture. It is set in lush countryside in the municipality of Oza de Rios with the Mendo and Mero rivers running through and although the village road runs by you have wonderful peace and quiet here.

The Rectoral has a huge lawn and a swimming pool and many interesting sculptures both in the grounds and in the building.
