Perhaps best known for its film festival, its flambouyant carnival or for being among Europe's top gay tourist spots, the small seaside city of Sitges is oozes cosmopolitan creativity - 35% of its inhabitants are from northern Europe! Set between the Med and the mountains with lovely beaches along its seafront there's everything you need for a family holiday. There's no end of restaurants, bars and nightspots yet the city refuses to be dominated by tourism, retaining its own special character.
