The river Miño – or Minho as locals on either side would call it – forms the border between Galicia and Portugal as well as the southern limit of the Albariño wine region. The wines produced here are said by many to be Spain’s very best whites which is testament to the benign micro-climate enjoyed in the region. The Atlantic beaches are not far away but equally attractive are the many little beaches (some not so little) which line the banks of the river itself enjoying lovely views to the rolling hills on either side…
