Our Hotel Short Breaks are in carefully chosen hotels and posadas of character and charm - often a restored "palacio", usually family-run, always welcoming and comfortable, and with true individuality. Some of our hotels are renowned for their cooking, and all are within easy reach of excellent local restaurants.
Most hotel breaks include one or more activities (see below)
Our Casas Short Breaks feature properties picked from our Casas Cantabricas brochure for their suitability for a few days away from it all, where you can relax in comfort and explore the locality in your own good time. Activities are optional, and may be booked ahead or arranged locally.
Flights
The north and west of Spain are now well served by the low cost airlines; we do not include flights with our breaks, so that you can take full advantage of the amazing deals you can find with them. Please ask us if you have any queries about flights, journey times etc - we're here to help.
Car Hire
Our Short Breaks include car hire with Transhire. Our packages include a Group B car; please ask us if you want to take a different group of car.
All Short Breaks include
• hire car (Group B, with the option to select a higher grade car).
• accommodation in a small hotel (bed and breakfast) - minimum 2 nights - or a self-catering property - minimum 3 nights.
• a copy of the Casas Cantabricas' restaurant and food guide "Buen Provecho".
Activities, according to break booked
• visit to a winery - a bodega.
• a round of golf.
• entry to the Guggenheim and the Museo de Bellas Artes in Bilbao.
• specially selected dinner showing the gastronomia of the region/season/chef.
Optional Activities (and please ask us for further details/activities)
• any of the above.
• guided walks.
• four wheel drive expeditions.
• horse riding.
NB Short Breaks do not include
• flights.
• insurance.
• meals unless stated in the Short Break description.
