This is an old stone detached cottage, in a lane in the tiny village of Castro Cillorigo; there are farms and other houses around, stunning views to the imposing peak of La Peña de la Ventesa, and pretty fields up the way. It is a good starting point for several mountain walks, while Potes, the centre for the eastern end of the Picos de Europa, with shops etc, is just 5km south. The coast is about an hour away. The house has full central heating, making it cosy for out-of-season holidays, is comfortably furnished in traditional style, and well-equipped. There is a small enclosed rough grass garden at the side. NB. The access road to the village is steep, but is manageable in an ordinary car; parking is along the lane. There are no amenities in the village, but bread vans come everyday and other food vans come to the village several times a week, The fish van is particularly good. Shop/bar and restaurants at 2.5 km.
