A traditional Asturian terraced house in a row of three, set in the pretty "barrio" of La Viņa, part of the farming village of La Riera, with fields, fruit trees and vegetable patches around and a small river with trout and eels nearby. The owner has lovingly and beautifully restored this house, maintaining many of its original features to make a very comfortable home from home with great attention to detail. Accommodation is on the ground and first floor, (upper two floors empty at present). There is sitting out space at the front and to the side there is a nicely kept grass field for visitors' use (mostly enclosed, shared with the owners). Although just four kilometers to the beach and two kilometres to the interesting old town of Colunga, you are in a very peaceful spot here, ideal for keen walkers who will get the best in local advice from the owners, themselves enthusiastic walkers. Ideal for those who enjoy country life and a traditional seaside holiday there are plenty of lovely beaches and fishing villages nearby and the mountains rise up just inland. And there's prehistory in plenty, as you are just by the Dinosaur Coast. In high and peak season preferred start day is Friday. High season rate applies at Easter and end of August
